The Literacy Council is pleased to announce Adam Ross as the featured author for the July 15, 2011 Signature Series. Don't miss this opportunity to meet Adam in Birmingham at this private cocktail reception. This is your chance to talk with Adam about his New York Times Bestseller, Mr. Peanut and receive an autographed copy of his latest book, Ladies and Gentlemen. In order to preserve the intimacy of the evening, a limited number of tickets are sold.
Every year, the Signature Series brings three prominent authors to Birmingham for private cocktail receptions in some of Birmingham's most beautiful homes. Patrons spend the evening mingling with the author and receive a signed first edition of their latest work. Famous authors who have joined the LC over the years include Cokie Roberts, Tracy Chevalier, Richard North Patterson, Rick Bragg and most notably Kathryn Stockett whose book The HeIp is now a major motion picture opening this Spring. Don't miss your opportunity to meet the next great author and spend time talking with them one-on-one about their literary masterpieces.
The Signature Series is one of the Literacy Council’s main fundraisers. Your support helps the Literacy Council address the needs of some 92,000 functionally illiterate people in central Alabama.
Tickets are $150 per person, and that includes a signed first edition and a cocktail reception. To get yours, go to www.literacy-council.org
