Get smart about your own money with the Smart Investing @ Emmet O'Neal Library Seminar Series on November 3 and 5.
The first seminar, Banking & Credit is set for Thursday, November 3rd at 6:30 p.m. Finance professor Dr. Stephanie Rauterkus will introduce terms and topics from the worlds of banking, credit and credit cards. Topics will include: determining your banking needs; finding the “right” bank; maintaining a bank account; credit reports and scores; basic credit features; and, of course, credit card fees!
The second event in this series is Women & Money, and it is scheduled for Saturday, November 5th from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This seminar is designed specifically for women who are recently widowed or divorced and handling family finances for the first time. Also, women who have recently joined the workforce and need more information on savings and retirement vehicles will benefit, too. A light breakfast and lunch will be served.
Both of these are free events! However, you are asked to please register @ www.eolib.org
